
Master Plan for the “Development, management and putting into value of the Jesuit missions | PARAGUAY

The main objective of the project is to convert the heritage resources, declared as World Heritage by the UNESCO, into tourist products, aiming to create a tourism and cultural industry around them. The project devises a net-work, articulating each Jesuit mission and giving them a joint product sense.
The project has become a Route Map by the Contractual Authorities, the Secretariat of Tourism in Paraguay.
The Plan involved the following tasks:
- Technical assistance on tourism development and culture resources restoration.
- Creation and development of new tourism products based on heritage and tourism sustainability criteria.
- Workshops with local communities
- Implementation of a training programme increasing the capacity building of regional and local actors involved in tourism development.
